Md. State Police Charge Pa. Man With Road Rage Incident In Frederick County

Shots were fired, but the victim was not injured.

Thurmont, Md (KM) A Pennsylvania man was arrested on Wednesday in Frederick County for an attempted murder and a road rage incident. Bryant Paradine, 37, of LIttlestown is charged with attempted murder, use a gun in the commission of a felony and other offenses.

Shortly before 7:30 AM, Maryland State Police say troopers with the Frederick Barrack responded to Route 15 and Tippin Drive in Thurmont for a reported road rage incident involving gunshots being fired. Shots were fired through the passenger compartment of the victim’s vehicle. That person was not injured.

The victim contacted 911 and described the vehicle as a maroon Chevrolet SUV with Pennsylvania tags. State Police investigators with the Criminal Enforcement Division identified Paradine as the suspect.

The suspect’s vehicle was located parked outside of a business in Thurmont unoccupied. Troopers found Paradine and took him into custody.

After securing a warrant, troopers conducted of a search of Paradine’s SUV where a nine millimeter handgun was located. It had the same  caliber as the one used to fire on the victim’s  car earlier in the day, investigators say.

Maryland State Police say the Thurmont Police Department provided assistance in this incident.
