Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police have charged a Middletown woman with drug offenses following a traffic stop last week. Rickilynn Nicole Dyer, 43, was taken into custody on Wednesday evening, August 14th along Interstate 70 near Monocacy Boulevard.
Authorities say she had a quantity of drugs in her vehicle, .including 130 gelatin capsules containing fentanyl and heroin, one bindle of heroin and Fentanyl, and about three grams of crack cocaine.
Dyer is currently being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center without bond.
Police say Detective Raymond Bednar with the Tactical Instigations Unit received credible evidence in May, 2024, that Dyer was procuring narcotics from Baltimore for street level distribution in Frederick County.
Frederick Police remind residents that fentanyl is 50 to 100 times more powerful that morphine or heroin, and is a significant factor in the opioid crisis, contributing to numerous fatalities across the state of Maryland.. The TIU, police say, is dedicated to investigating and combatting serious crimes, including drug distribution and other high-impact offenses. In a statement, the Frederick Police say the TIU works to enhance community safety by pro-active enforcement and strategic partnerships.
