Emmitsubrg, Md (KM) It was a priest who suffered serious burns during the fire at Saint Anthony’s Shrine rectory in Emmitsburg early Friday morning. That’s according to the church’s website which identifies the clergyman only as “Father Andrew.”

He was taken by ambulance in critical condition to a hangar in Frederick and flown out to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore.  The church reports on its website that Father Andrew is doing okay and recovering.

The Frederick County Fire Marshal’s Office says the cause of the fire was accidental, originating on the porch. Damage is estimated at $400,000..
