Two Men Arrested After Fleeing From Hit And Run In Frederick

One allegedly brandished a knife at another person.

Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police have charged two men following a hit and run last weekend. Chung Thang, 25, of Frederick, and Antony Chin, 27, of Elkridge,  were taken into custody early Sunday morning.

At around 12:15 AM, police were dispatched to the 5700 block of Butterfly Lane to investigate reports of one vehicle striking two parked cars. The occupants of the striking vehicle fled on foot.

A witness told officers he ran after Thang, but an altercation occurred with Thang allegedly brandishing a knife. He was apprehended Police say Thang had on his person an undisclosed amount of cash, suspected marijuana and a knife. He’s charged with 1st-degree assault (with a knife), possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, wearing, carrying and transporting a weapon, and failing to stop a vehicle at the scene of an accident..

Officers also apprehended Chin. They say Chin was in possession of a loaded handgun. He is charged with having a loaded handgun on his person, and reckless endangerment.
