Three Teen Suspects Arrested For Bethesda Robbery

Strong-Arm robbery committed by 14, 15 and 16-year old juveniles.

Gaithersburg, MD – A 14-year-old, 15-year-old and 16-year-old, all from Bethesda, have been arrested for a strong arm-robbery that occurred at the Tobacco and More Mart in Bethesda.

At approximately 9:34 a.m., on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, 2nd District officers responded to the 7800 block of Old Georgetown Road for the report of a robbery.

The preliminary investigation by detectives has revealed that the three suspects entered the business, took property and attempted to leave the scene. When an employee attempted to intervene, the 16-year-old suspect struck the victim in the head. The three teenagers then left the scene with the stolen property.

Shortly after, officers from the 2nd District located the three teen suspects matching the description provided. The suspects were quickly apprehended and taken into custody without incident.

All three juvenile suspects were charged with robbery and released to their primary caregivers.
