Two Suspects Arrested Following Vehicle Chase Spanning Two Counties

The vehicle involved was reported stolen.

Eldersburg, Md (KM) Two individuals from Baltimore city were arrested Sunday afternoon following a vehicle chase which spanned two counties. .

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy on routine patrol near the Eldersburg Wal Mart in the 6400 Ridge Road noticed a Nissan Rogue failing to stop at a stop sign. The deputy turned around and attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the Nissan fled eastbound on Liberty Road. The deputy followed in pursuit.

The chase continued along  Liberty road. The Nissan ran through the red traffic light at Liberty Road and Ridge Road, and passed vehicles illegally in and out of traffic, the Sheriff’s Office says. The Nissan Rogue sideswiped a Toyota minivan  on Liberty Road east of Fallon Street. Authorities say the collision caused superficial damage, but no injuries.

A check of the vehicle’s registration determined it was reported stolen from Baltimore city.

The chase continued into Baltimore County. The Nissan Rogue got off at Liberty Ridge Court. The deputy set up some stop sticks which would deflate the tires. It worked, and the Nissan Rogue stopped, and the two occupants fled from the vehicle

A perimeter was set up with assistance from the Baltimore County Police K9 Unit and the Maryland State Police Aviation Command.  The two individuals were found.

Heather Lynne Parson, 44, was the driver of the fleeing vehicle, and the passenger was identified as John Perry Parlier, 27. . Both are charged with motor vehicle theft, theft under $1500 and traffic citations. And they have outstanding warrants from Anne Arundel County.

Deputies say they found merchandise in the vehicle which was stolen from the Eldersburg Wal Mart.

The Sheriff’s Office says Parson was released on November 4th, 2024 following a bail review. Parlier remains incarcerated without bond at the Carroll County Detention Center.
