Delaney won the 6th Congressional District seat.
FREDERICK, MD. (LG) It was a very close race but Democrat April McClain Delaney has won the U.S. House seat in Maryland’s 6th Congressional District.
The race wasn’t called until four days after Election Day. Delaney led Republican candidate Neil Parrott by 8,700 votes.
Maryland’s 6th Congressional District covers part of Montgomery County, including Germantown, plus the city of Frederick, Frederick County, the city of Hagerstown, and Garrett, Allegany and Washington counties.
Democrats have held the 6th District for more than a decade.
