Sentencing scheduled for Jan. 24th, 2025.
Frederick, Md (KM) A Union Bridge man was found guilty of 1st-degree murder and 1st-degree assault for a homicide in Frederick almost two years ago. The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s; Office says a jury came back with a verdict on Friday against Ruben Williams, 40.
Sentencing is scheduled for January 24th, 2025 at 9:00 AM.
Williams had been on trial in Circuit Court this week for the fatal stabbing of Mary Alice Seward, 41, on December 31st, 2022. The incident occurred in the 200 block of Linden Avenue. Frederick Police say the stabbing resulted from a dispute over crack cocaine and money.
Earlier on Friday, the State’s Attorney’s Office ssy the State rested its case. The defense did not call any witnesses, and the defendant, Williams, did not testify.
