Frederick, Md. (JK) – Four people escaped a fire that destroyed a home in Thurmont early this morning..
According to the Frederick County Fire Rescue Facebook page, shortly after 1 A-M Monday, fire fighters responded to a report of a house fire in the 100 block of Pleasant Acres Drive. Upon arrival, fire crews encountered a 2-story single family home with heavy fire showing throughout the structure.
Everyone was out of the home before fire fighters arrived. They were assessed for minor injuries and taken to the hospital for treatment.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation. The Red Cross is assisting the displaced family.
