Four Honda CR-V’s Stolen In Delaware Found In Frederick County, Md.

Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office says it located four vehicles stolen out of Delaware.

Authorities say last Thursday, November 21st at 2:16 PM, Deputy 1st Class Bittenmaster, who was on patrol  near the Monrovia Park and Ride at 11599 Baldwin Road, noticed a white Honda CR-V parked suspiciously in the corner of the lot.  Further investigation revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen.

The deputy continued to investigate, and learned that three other Honda CR-V’s–two were blue in color and one was black– parked at the park and ride lot had also been reported stolen. All four vehicles are valued at $117,510 collectively,  and had been reported stolen from Middletown, Delaware..  Each had Delaware license plates.

The Sheriff’s Office says it contacted the New Castle County, Delaware Police Department to report that the vehicles had been recovered.

They were towed for safekeeping and eventual retrieval by the owners.

“The discovery of the stolen vehicles by Dfc Bittenmaster was an excellent example of the value of proactive policing and having the initiative to take investigative action when something appears out of place.  Dfc Bitenmaster is a highly motivated member  of the Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit,” says Sheriff Chuck Jenkins, in a statement.
