Two Teenagers Arrested In Montgomery County For A Carjacking

They were turned over to the custody of their primary caregivers.

Gaithersburg, Md (KM) Montgomery County Police have charged two teenagers from Hyattsville in a carjacking. The 17-year-olds were apprehended following a traffic stop on Tuesday in the 14200 block of Grand Pre Road. They were driving a Kia Forte which had been reported stolen from Prince George’s County on October 28th, 2024.

Police say on Tuesday, November 26th, officers from the 4th District Community Action Team  spotted the stolen Kia in the area of  Bel Pre Road and Parker Farmer Way.  With the  assistance of other officers, they initiated a traffic stop, and took the two juveniles into custody.

The two youths were taken to the Montgomery County Police 4th District Station where they were charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, and then released to the custody of their primary caregivers.
