MDOT SHA says the work may require some right lane closures on South Jefferson St..
Frederick, Md (KM) There will be some repair work beginning next week on a section of US Route 15 in Frederick. The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration says repairs will be made on the median along northbound Route 15 at the South Jefferson Street. It will involve the removal of 100 feet of median along with the construction of a new median and improvements to the drainage system.
The work is expected to begin on Monday, December 9th, and last for three days, weather permitting. The start date could change as this work requires a dry conditions on the roadway, MDOT SHA says.
Motorists who travel along that stretch of Route 15 should expect delays, and some closures of the right-hand lane along with a narrowed exit lane. But MDOT SHA says the exit lane on to northbound Route 15 will remain open during the work.
Electronic message boards, signs, cones and barrels will be used to notify drivers of the work zone and any road closures.
