He waived his right to a bond review hearing in District Court.

Frederick, Md (KM) A man charged with a double homicide in the Lake Linganore area earlier this year will be held without bond. A bond review hearing took place on Thursday afternoon for David Phillip Turner, 34, of Miami Beach, Florida. The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office says Turner waived his right to a hearing. District Court Judge Eric Schaffer ordered the defendant held without bond.
Turner is charged with two counts of 1st-degree murder in connection with the shooting deaths of Crimea Malita Baker and Sean Antonio Lange on Sunday, August 25th, 2024. Both victims were found deceased in an upstairs bedroom of their home in the 7000 block of Mandalong Court in New Market. Both had been shot multiple times, according to the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators say both were shot at around 1:25 AM.
Four children inside the home at the time were unharmed. Baker was the mother of all four children, and Lange was the father of one of the. Both were living together at the time of the shootings.
Turner was apprehended in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on September 28th, 2024. He was brought back to Frederick County, Maryland this week to face charges in connection with this double murder.
In addition to the two 1st-degree murder offenses, Turner is also charged with two counts of the .use of a firearm in a crime of violence, and home invasion.
