Crash happened at Sundays Lane and Bartgis Road
A fatal crash occurred early Saturday morning in Frederick County, claiming the life of 52-year-old Kyint Cope.
At approximately 5:10 AM — Cope’s Toyota Corolla left the road on Sundays Lane and Bartgis Road, crashing into two trees. Despite efforts by first responders from EMS — Cope was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate, and preliminary findings suggest that alcohol and speed could have contributed to the crash.
