Frederick, Md (KM) The boil water advisory issued recently for the Sam Hill Estates and Manorwood communities has been lifted. The Frederick County Division of Water and Sewer Utilities says the water in that service area is free of contamination and is safe to drink.

The biol water advisory was issued on Wednesday afternoon, January 22nd due to a water main break along Sam Hill Drive.

The Division of Water and Sewer Utilities says repairs were made to the water main break that evening. But because of a loss of water pressure, the boil water advisory remained in affect due to the possibility that bacteria could enter the water pipes.

Two rounds of tests done on the water conclude that it is free of coliform and E. coli. so it is safe to drink, says the Division of Water and Sewer Utilities.
