Thurmont, Md (KM) The Bureau of Alcohol,Tobacco, FIrearms and Explosives, and the Thurmont Police Department are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in connection with the pipe bombing of a police vehicle.
Early Wednesday morning, at around 12:30, an explosive device went off on the hood of a Thurmont Police Department SUV. The explosion damaged the front end and the windshield, and sent fragments into the victim’s home which was occupied at the time. There were no injuries.
Anyone who has information on this incident is asked to call the ATF Tipline at 888-AFT-TIPS. Their identity will remain confidential.
