FREDERICK, Md. (DG)-A Maryland State Trooper was injured Friday during a traffic stop in Frederick.
State Police say Trooper Hook was on a traffic stop on the right shoulder of the roadway. He finished the traffic stop and merged onto the right lane and was struck by a Pontiac.
After the Pontiac struck the police cruiser, the vehicle crossed the median and struck a Honda.
Trooper Hook was transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Pontiac, Maurice Reid of Frederick, was flown to Shock Trauma.
The two occupants of the Honda were transported by ambulance to Meritus Medical Center.
Police say the investigation into the crash is continuing.
