Police say the victim and the suspect knew each other.
One woman was stabbed Wednesday night in Frederick.
Police say they responded to the 800-block of Heather Ridge Drive and found the victim who had lacerations to her hand and cuts on her upper back. She was transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released.
The detective assigned to the case identified the suspect as Yazmin Shantamere Rollins, 30 of Frederick.
Authorities say the victim got into an argument with Rollins at a residence in the 1,000 block of Heather Ridge Drive. The altercation turned physical and the victim was stabbed with an edged weapon.
Rollins was taken into custody without incident. She is charged with one count each of 1st-degree assault and 2nd-degree assault.
Police say the victim and the suspect know each other.
