Authorities say an undercover deputy on Monday purchased some gummies and wax from the vendor. The deputy detected the odor of pot inside the vendor area. The undercover cop says McGee said the product contained 4% THC.
The next day, the Sheriff’s Office conducted a search and seizure operation on the vendor, confiscating candies, oils, syrup and a white crystalline substance. Authorities say the oil and the “wax” also known as marijuana wax contained THC, which is also a Schedule One narcotic. The white crystalline substance tested positive for cannabidoil.
The owner of the vending stand was Spiva.
The Fair Board on Wednesday ordered that the vendor be removed from the Fairgrounds.
The Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigation Section says it took quick action following a complaint in the interest of public safety and those who are visiting the Great Frederick Fair.
