It says rain in the forecast this weekend.
Middletown, Md (KM) The State Highway Administration says it’s postponing work planned for Route 40-A near Marker Road due to a forecast of rain for this weekend. The agency says the work will take place the weekend of October 14th through the 16th.
Crews will be repairing a collapsed drainage pipe which will require the removal of existing pavement. That work will mean the closure of Route 40-A west of Marker Road.
Motorists will be detoured. Drivers heading west will turn left on Marker Road and then right on Bolivar Road before returning to Route 40-A. If they’re heading east, they will turn right on Bolivar Road and then left on to Marker Road before getting back on Route 40-A.
The work is scheduled to start on Friday at 10:00 PM on Friday, October 14th, and be completed by Sunday evening, October 16th, weather permitting.
Asphalt Maintenance of Pasadena, Maryland was awarded a $30,000 contract by SHA to conduct the work.
