Hoeber Spouse Contributes More Than $1-Million To PAC To Unseat Rep. Delaney

Delaney has filed a complaint with the FEC.

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) – The husband of Republican 6th District congressional candidate Amie Hoeber has contributed more than $1.4 million to a super PAC supporting her effort to unseat Democratic Rep. John Delaney.

Media outlets report that campaign finance reports filed over the weekend show Mark Epstein, a senior executive at Qualcomm, donated more than $1.4 million to the Maryland USA Super PAC between July 1 and Sept. 30. That brings his total donations over the past year to $3.8 million.

Delaney filed a complaint with the Federal Elections Commission that Hoeber illegally coordinated with the super PAC. Hoeber has denied any violations.

Hoeber’s official campaign committee brought in nearly $136,000 from 160 donors last quarter and spent $309,127 during the quarter.

Delaney took in $309,436 and spent $463,839 during the quarter.
