Hagerstown, Md (KM) A house fire in Hagerstown Sunday morning took the life of a dog.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says 56 fire fighters responded to the 11830 Peacock Trail at around 6:19 AM, and spent 20-minutes bringing the flames under control.
Damage to the one-story, single family home is estimated at $50,000 to the structure, and $25,000 to the contents.
There were no human injuries.
The Fire Marshal’s Office say the fire originated in the family room, but the cause remains under investigation.
The family is being assisted by other family members.
