Approximately 87 grams of heroin was seized.
FREDERICK , MD. (DG)-A large amount of heroin and cash was seized by the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were patrolling Magnolia Tree Court and Burning Bush Drive this past weekend after receiving information about a shooting on October 28th and drugs being sold in the area.
Police were able to identify an apartment involved in distributing heroin. During the investigation, police obtained a search warrant for an apartment in the 5700 block of Magnolia Tree Court.
Early Saturday around 7:20 AM, the SWAT Team performed a search and seizure operation and located approximately 87 grams of heroin and items used to package and weigh the heroin.
Police arrested 34-year-old Clarence Thieverage inside the apartment.
Thierverage was taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with possession of heroin, possession of paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute heroin. The estimated street value for the heroin is over $13,000.
During the operation deputies also seized $804 in cash.
