Hancock, Md (KM) It took five-minutes for fire fighters to put out a blaze on the exterior of a building in Hancock Wednesday afternoon.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says a passerby discovered the flames outside of Wheeler’s Optical at 263 North Pennsylvania Avenue. Fire and rescue personnel responded at around 12-noon.
Damage to the structure is $5,000. There were no injuries
Officials say the cause was accidental due to improperly discarded smoking materials.
