FREDERICK, Md. (KR) Bryant Home Comfort, Frederick Air Inc. and The Patty Pollatos Fund, Inc. are teaming up this holiday season to provide one deserving local resident or family with a new furnace to help keep them warm this winter.
The Holiday Giving Campaign is asking anyone to submit an entry on behalf of a deserving family who has suffered economic or other hardships. Steve Schmidt, founder of Frederick Air, says his company will be donating the time and labor for the installation and Bryant Home Comfort will be donating the unit.
“What we’re looking at is people in the community who are true heroes, meaning facing adverse conditions and they’re making it happen; they’re getting up every morning, they’re going to work and doing whatever it takes to get their lives in order,” said Schmidt.
He said the process is easy to nominate yourself or someone to win the furnace. The Patty Pollatos Fund will be taking all of the submissions and choosing the recipient.
“So we’re looking for some people and we actually have a website that you can go to, to fill out an application, it’s giveback.frederickair.com.” said Schmidt.
Submissions will be accepted through December 16th and the recipient will be selected by December 19th with the installation happening before Christmas Day.
