WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) – Officials in Maryland say a man and his 4-year-old son were seriously injured when a sled they were riding was hit by a car in Carroll County.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that the crash happened Saturday just before 11 a.m.
The Sheriff’s Office says 35-year-old Adam French of Baltimore and his 4-year-old son were sledding down a driveway when their sled entered the roadway and was struck by a Jeep Cherokee. The Sheriff’s Office says French was hospitalized with potentially life-threatening injuries and that his son was hospitalized in critical condition.
The Sheriff’s Office says the driver of the Jeep and a passenger were not injured and that at this time charges are not expected to be filed against the driver.
