It will be on Connector routes.
Frederick, Md (KM) Free Wi-Fi is now available on TransIt of Frederick County’s Connector routes. The agency says it coordinated with RouteMatch and Verizon to get the equipment installed and set up for customers.
Free on board Wi-Fi allows riders to multi-task during their trip, and will benefit those who used TransIT’s mobile ticketing app, and TransIT ezFARE, which allows customers to have smartphone data or Wi-Fi access to bus tickets.
To connect with Wi-Fi while on board the bus, riders need to go to their smartphone Wi-Fi settings, and select “TransIT Public Wi-Fi.” When they make that connection, the Wi-Fi will automatically reconnect to their phone when a TransIT Connector is nearing their location at a bus stop.
For more information, go the TransIT website (www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/TransIT). Riders can also like TransIT on Facebook and follow it on Twitter at @TransITServices.
