Residents cannot park on Snow Emergency Routes.
Frederick, Md. (KM) Frederick Mayor Randy Mc-Clement says the Snow Emergency Plan will go into affect this evening at 9:00 due to the forecast for heavy snow. That means motorists cannot park on designated Snow Emergency Routes, and residents will have two hours to move their vehicles. Any vehicles that have not removed by 11:00 PM run the risk of being towed at the owner’s expense.

But residents will be allowed to park for free at the city’s five parking garages from 8:00 PM Monday till 6:00 AM on Wednesday. After that time, citizens must remove their cars or pay the hourly rate.

• Court Street Parking Deck – 2 S. Court St.
• Carroll Street Parking Deck – 44 E. Patrick St.
• West Patrick Street Deck – 138 W. Patrick St.
• East All Saints Street Deck – 125 E. All Saints St.
City officials also say it is the responsibility of residents to clear their sidewalks of snow and ice within 12-hours after the snow stops falling. Property owners who fail to comply could be fined up to $100.
Trash collection scheduled for Tuesday will take place on Wednesday, according to city officials.
