Police seek assistance in identifying robbery suspect.
FREDERICK, Md. (DG) – Frederick Police are looking for a suspect responsible for two armed robberies.
On April 2nd, shortly after 2 AM, police were dispatched to the Dunkin’ Donuts on West Patrick Street for a report of an armed robbery.
Witnesses say a black male entered the store, and forced the cashier to give him money from the register at gunpoint.
The suspect was described as 30-40 years old with short hair He fled after receiving the money.
The second incident occurred on April 10th around 11:30 AM.
Frederick Police responded to the Freestate Gas Station on West Patrick Street for a report of an armed robbery.
In this case, a black male with short hair, between 30-40 years old, entered the store and displayed a handgun.
The suspect forced the cashier to give him the money out of the register, then fled the scene.
In both cases, a perimeter was quickly established and K9 tracks were attempted.
Police say based on the evidence, the two robberies could possibly be related.
