It started in an unit which was vacant.
Damage is estimated at $75,000 from an apartment fire in Westminster late Friday night.
At around 11:47 PM, 20 fire fighters from the Westminster Volunteer Fire Department responded to Sullivan Avenue for a fire in unit three-A, and spent 20-minutes bringing the flames under control. No one was hurt.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says the apartment where the fire occurred had been vacant for a few weeks. The cause remains under investigation.
The occupants of the other apartments in that building were displaced as a result of the fire.
