GAITHERSBURG, Md. (KR) Detectives in Gaithersburg are investigating the rape of a 26-year old woman that happened on July 26th.
The Special Victims Investigations Division says the woman was leaving Quincy’s Bar and Grille on Quince Orchard Road around 2:30 AM in Gaithersburg with a man she met at the bar. Once they were outside, the man forced her to a grassy area in the nearby shopping center. The woman said she freed herself at one point but the man grabbed her again and sexually assaulted her. Authorities say, after the assault, the man fled and the victim drove home and called police.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20 to 30 years old, 5 foot 3 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing glasses and had facial hair.
