Police Arrest 5th Suspect In Tuesday’s Shots-Fired Incident

Four others were arrested the day of the incident.

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM)  A fifth suspect has been arrested in connection with a shots-fired incident Tuesday in Frederick. Jamontrez Williams, 18, of Frederick turned himself in to police on Wednesday. He’s been charged  with numerous counts of assault and weapons offenses.

Frederick Police say officers responded to the 500 block of Cascade Way on Monday afternoon for a shots-fired complaint.   Authorities found evidence that shots had been fired. No one was hurt. They were also able to get good descriptions of the suspects involved, and a vehicle  which fled the scene.

Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, and arrested Dyshez Williams, 20, along with a juvenile. Both are charged with weapons offenses and numerous assault counts.

After receiving information that a suspect with a gun  ran into a house in the 500 block of Boysenberry Lane. Detectives and officers made contact with the occupants of the home, and escorted them to the Law Enforcement Center for questioning. Based on the information provided by the individuals, police obtained a search and seizure warrant on two houses along Boysenberry Lane, where they found evidence of a discharge of a firearm.

As a result of evidence gathered inside the homes, police have charged  Nicholas Benjamin, 16, as an adult with numerous assault and weapons offenses. David Williams, 21, is charged with three counts  of possession of a stolen handgun. Both suspects live at a home in the 500 block of Boysenberry Lane.
