It will allow a contractor to complete work on the road.
Frederick, Md (KM) Hamburg Road from Gambrill Park Road to Indian Springs Road will be closed from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM beginning on Monday, October 9th. It will be open to local traffic and emergency vehicles only during that time.
The Frederick County Office of Transportation Engineering says the two-week closure will allow a contractor, C.J. Miller LLC, to complete rehabilitation and overlay work on the road. Hamburg Road in that area will reopen to all traffic after 3:00 PM on weekdays, and on weekends.
County officials say the work is expected to be completed and the road fully reopened on Friday, October 20th at 3:00 PM.
