Police say victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Frederick, Md (KM) A Frederick man was arrested for stabbing his room mate. Michael Carpenter Devine, 53, was taken into custody early Thursday morning and charged with one count each of 1st- and 2nd-assault, and reckless endangerment.
At 1:00 AM, police were dispatched to the 100 block of Fairfield Drive for a stabbing. They found the victim with stab wounds to his arm and neck area. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment and later released.
A detective arrived at the scene, and, through investigation, determined that Devine was the suspect. Authorities say their investigation revealed that Devine, without provocation, picked up an edged weapon and stabbed the victim.
Devine remained on the scene and was taken into custody without incident.
