Frederick, MD (KK) – Making the roadways safer is the goal of grants through the Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration. Christine Nizer is the Motor Vehicle Administrator for Maryland. She says government agencies, law enforcement, colleges, hospitals and non-profits can apply. The money comes from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
“It’s awarded to the state Department of Transportation to determine how best to use it, and we reach out to the community and solicit grant applications,” said Nizer.
Those who are interested can submit an application online here. Applications are due March 16.
