Both robberies occurred last March several days apart.
BALTIMORE, MD. (LG) 100 months in prison was the sentence handed down to a Frederick man who committed several armed robberies last March.
According to the Maryland U.S. States Attorney’s Office, 38 year old Sean Shorb walked into a fast food restaurant on Thomas Johnson Drive, pointed a handgun at an employee, and stated that he would shoot the employee unless money was handed over. Police said he got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. Then several days later, Shorb walked into a convenience store on Amber Drive, pointed a pistol at an employee and demanded money.
Frederick City Police investigators obtained red light camera footage that showed Shorb’s vehicle fleeing from one of the robberies. A traffic stop was later conducted on Shorb and he was apprehended.
Investigators said Shorb also admitted to the crimes and said that he had tossed the handgun that he had used in the robberies into a sewer in Baltimore.
