Frederick, Md. (DG) – A death investigation has been launched by the Montgomery County Police Department after a man in police custody died in Frederick.
Frederick City Police responded to a report of a man causing a disturbance in the 1200 block of Danielle Drive at around 3 AM Monday morning.
Officers saw the man behave erratically, and believed he was under the influence of an unknown substance.
When officers tried to talk to the man, he ran. Police took him into custody for a medical evaluation.
As the man was getting prepared to be taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital in an ambulance, he became unresponsive.
