Friday morning around around 5:00 AM, troopers from the Maryland State Police Hagerstown Barrack were dispatched to the report of a personal injury accident on east bound I-70 around the 32-mile marker. The crash involved a tractor Trailer and a Greyhound Bus. The preliminary investigation revealed that the Greyhound Bus had rear-ended the tractor trailer. The Interstate was closed for several hours.Washington County officials confirmed that 30 passengers were transported to Meritus Hospital for NON-LIFE THREATENING injuries. The 16 uninjured passengers were picked up by school buses and were taken to the McDonald’s located on Sharpsburg Pike near the Hagerstown Barrack to await another bus.
