Willilamsport, Md (KM) Maryland State Police have charged a Williamsport man with child pornography offenses. Scott Reese, 36, was arrested Wednesday morning at his home. He’s charged with three counts of distribution of child pornography, and six counts of possession of child pornography.
Reese was taken into custody without incident.
Investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began their probe in March, 2018 involving child pornography, and the evidence which was uncovered led to Reese’s home where State Police, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the U-S Department of Homeland Security served a warrant Wednesday morning . Officials with those three agencies say they examined Reese’s electronic equipment taken from the home, and found evidence supporting the child pornography charges against the defendant.
The Maryland State Police say their Computer Crimes Unit coordinates theĀ Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force This is a combined law enforcement effort which is funded by a federal grant from the US Department of Justice. Investigators work on identifying those involved in child pornography and other related crimes where children are the victims.
