Frederick, Md (KM) Legislation to provide guidance to members of the Frederick County Planning Commission and the Board of Appeals regarding cases and issues being considered by their respective boards was adopted Tuesday by the County Council.
The measure, sponsored by Councilman Tony Chmelik, would require members to act with independence, integrity and impartiality, and not make a commitment, pledge or promise regarding cases or issues before their respective bodies. It would also require members not to make any statements which could compromise the fairness of deliberations or actions pending before the Planning Commission or Board of Appeals.
