Frederick, Md (KM) Three Pennsylvania residents are charged with drugs and weapons offenses following a traffic stop over the weekend.
State Police say a BMW passenger vehicle was pulled over along Interstate 70 near Route 144 on Saturday. Troopers say they made contact with the driver identified as Sean McCarter, 41, of Kennett Square, Pa. He . indicated he had a firearm in the car. A loaded 40-caliber, semi-automatic handgun was found hidden between the driver’s seat and the center console.
One of the passengers admitted to having drugs. During a search, troopers located marijuana, THC oil, three baggies of methamphetamines, a crack pipe, a methamphetamine pipe and various prescription pills.
McCarter is charged with drug possession, illegal possession of ammunition, possession of a firearm with a felony conviction, having a handgun in a vehicle, having a loaded handgun in a vehicle, having a handgun on his person and having a loaded handgun on his person. .
The other two occupants, Kelly Sue Brooks of Quarryville, Pa, and Amy Christine Barksdale, 31, of Delta, Pa., are both charged with drug offenses.
