The local man was wanted for numerous offenses.
FREDERICK, MD (LG) Frederick Police arrested a wanted man on Wednesday. Authorities said 35 year old Elijah Parker, of Frederick, was seen trespassing inside of a laundromat in the 400 block of North Market Street. Police said when an officer approached him, Parker resisted and attempted to flee. Several other officers arrived on scene to assist, and eventually Parker was taken into custody. A search revealed that Parker had a loaded handgun on him. He facing numerous offenses.

In a press release, it stated that the firearm was determined to have been stolen, and the serial number showed signs of an attempt to alter it.
Parker was wanted on several arrests warrants, including one that stemmed from a February 15, 2019 robbery and assault with a firearm in the 600 block of West Patrick Street. Investigators said at 0552 hours on February 15th, several citizens reported hearing gunshots in that area. Officers arrived, contacted several callers and checked the area, but did not locate a crime scene or anyone with detailed information. Officers documented the call as an unconfirmed firearm discharge.
Later, on that same afternoon, a man called the Frederick Police Department and reported that he had been robbed and shot at in the 600 block of West Patrick Street. Parker was identified as the suspect. And as a result the following charges were applied:
- Armed Robbery
- Assault – First Degree
- Assault – Second Degree
- Reckless Endangerment
- Theft Less Than $100
Parker is currently being held without bond at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
