Customer service enhancements require computer system upgrades.
Glen Burnie, MD (June 6, 2019) – The Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration (MDOT MVA) will close all branch offices and VEIP stations on Saturday, June 29, 2019 to perform required computer system upgrades. The June 29 upgrade is one of three annual software updates made by MDOT MVA, which coincides with legislative effective dates from the Maryland General Assembly.
Additionally, the MDOT MVA eStore and online transactions will be unavailable from 9 p.m. on Friday, June 28 through noon Saturday, June 29. MDOT MVA’s 10 self-service VEIP kiosks will remain in service during that time. Self-service VEIP kiosk locations can be found by visiting: www.mva.maryland.gov/programs/VEIP/KioskFlyer2016.pdf.
MDOT MVA will provide information on its website and social media channels to confirm when online transaction services are available. MDOT MVA branch offices and VEIP stations will resume normal business hours on Monday, July 1.
To provide customers with additional service options, MDOT MVA branches have extended hours until 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays to complete transactions. Additionally, seven branch offices across the state have extended hours until 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and from 8 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Saturdays through Tuesday, July 2. Customers are encouraged to utilize extended hours for the most efficient and simple visit.
