Frederick, MD – Frederick County Public Schools recently recieved their assessment showing a general improvement in English Language Arts and Mathematics.
The Maryland State Department of Education’s data showed FCPS consistently rank in the top quartile of Mayland’s 24 school districts.
FCPS Superintendent Dr. Theresa Alban said they are pleased with the results and are looking to continue improving.
“[seeing] some increases in middle school math and middle school English language arts was important for us,” Alban said. “When we can build that success in grades 3-8, we know we are setting them up for succes.”
Alban said the county uses the assessments to identify challenges that could be improved, furthering the chances for student success.
