Frederick, Md (KM) A repeat offender investigation begun on August 20th resulted in the arrest of Jefferson man. Robert Thomas King, Jr., 25, was served on Monday with eight outstanding warrants for violation of probation, burglary and failure to appear in court.

The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office says an investigation determined that King was responsible for several thefts from motor vehicles, a vehicle theft and at least one residential burglary. Multiple interviews, and search warrants were conducted  over several weeks, along with the processing of charging documents,  as King attempted to evade law enforcement, according to Sheriff’s Office Detectives.

Authorities say on Monday, September 9th, they received word from an anonymous source that King was staying at an apartment in Knoxville. After several hours of surveillance, King emerged from the residential unit. He was taken into custody following a short foot chase.
