One deputy taken to Shock Trauma for treatment
Frederick, Md. (DG) – An early morning accident injuries two deputies with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened at around 5 AM on the ramp from Monocacy Blvd. to Interstate 70 westbound.
Major Tim Clarke said their preliminary investigation revealed the accident happened when a vehicle made a left hand turn in front of the police cruiser on the Monocacy Blvd ramp.
One deputy was taken Shock Trauma in Baltimore for treatment, and the other was transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital. Their injuries are said to be non-life threatening.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the accident.
