Frederick, Md (KM) A number of arrests were made on Wednesday morning following an anti-drug operation in Frederick County. The Sheriff’s Office says law enforcement personnel from the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Group served warrants on nine locations in the Frederick and Brunswick areas. They were:
1100 block of Key Parkway, Frederick (2 apartments)
400 block of Terry Court, Frederick (2 residences)
1300 block of Taney Avenue, Frederick (1 apartment)
1400 block of Baker Place W, Frederick (1 apartment)
6000 block of Sandpiper Ct, Frederick (1 residence)
N Maryland Ave, Brunswick (1 apartment)
1000 block Heather Ridge Drive, Frederick (1 apartment)
The suspects who were arrested are:
1.) Abdul Rauf Bakre Parker, 33, of Frederick
Possession of paraphernalia
Possession, cocaine
Poss. w/ intent to distribute cocaine

Poss. w/ intent to distribute cocaine within 1000ft of school zone

Outstanding warrant: 1st degree assault

4. Preston Patrick Oxendine, 23, of Hagerstown
Possession, marijuana +10 grams

5. Asia Monet Sanders, 20, of Frederick

6. Thomas Alan Herring, 30, of Frederick

Items confiscated from the nine locations were during the search and seizure operation:
1.) Approximately $7513.00 U.S. Currency
2.) Century 9mm handgun, loaded
3.) Inter Arms .38 special revolver, loaded
4.) Glock 17 9mm (stolen), loaded
5.) AR-15 rifle (stolen)
6.) Multiple 30 – 40 round AR magazines (stolen)
7.) Body armor (stolen)
8.) 60 grams marijuana
9.) 94.7 grams of Crack Cocaine
Spokeswoman Taylor Clarke with the Sheriff’s Office says this operation was conducted by the Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement agencies who are part of HIDTA. “So HIDTA is the Frederick High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Group. And it consists of us at the Sheriff’s Office, Frederick City Police, Maryland State Police, Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Montgomery County Police Department,” she says.
Clarke says the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigation Section is committed to combating illegal possession and distribution of illicit narcotics in Frederick County.
