Taneytown, Md (KM) When you go get the mail, you’re reminded not to forget to put on your pants. That advice comes from the Taneytown Police Department. which posted that message on its Facebook page. “Please remember to put pants on before leaving the house to check on your mail,” the posting says. “You know who you are. This is your final warning.”
It’s not clear what incident, if any, prompted the Police Department to post this message, but it has drawn more than 1,000 comments, and 7,000 shares. One person, Jeff Davis, said if they’re wearing a face mask, “live and let live.” Kevin Sperry, in referring to the television drama “The Sopranos,” said “look if Tony Soprano taught me anything, is wearing boxers and a robe is the only acceptable way to get the mail.”
Taneytown is a municipality of about 7,000 population which is located in northwestern Carroll County.
