Middletown, Md. (DG) – Middletown held an unprecedented election and the results were announced on Monday.
Burgess John Miller was re-elected for a fifth term after running unopposed. Incumbent Commissioner Chris Goodman and Jean LaPadula won the two open commissioner seats.
In March amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the town moved it’ entire election to a vote by mail process.
There were 1,104 mail-in ballots received out of 3,608 registered voters.
Goodman was re-elected to his third term with 668 votes, and LaPadula defeated incumbent Tom Catania, with 589 votes.
