Jason Johnson is looking forward to serving the Frederick Community if elected to the Board of Education
Frederick, MD (KB) Known by his students as “Mr. J,” Jason Johnson is running for a seat on the Frederick County Board of Education. Johnson is a parent and has been an educator for over 15 years.
“I really believe right now we have to find a safe way to get our kids back in school, so I’m really going to work with our county to help the Board to get that as an option for our families,” said Johnson when asked about his priorities if elected.
Johnson’s plan also involves improving hiring practices and communication between the Board and the Frederick County community.
In addition to his experience as an educator, Johnson is a parent and served as assistant director of the Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) program at Johns Hopkins University.
He understands that an effective Board practices innovation, leadership, and has heart, and believes he will bring all three to the table if given the opportunity.
“I just have a heart to serve and I’m looking forward to seeing if Frederick County wants to see me serve them at this capacity,” explained Johnson.
